Media Bhavan

A well equipped building of the Journalism department is in the choicest location of Takshshila campus. It has eight fully furnished lecture theatres with LCD projectors. It also houses a well stocked library, advanced computer lab, radio and television studio, printing press, seminar hall, press conference room, film projection facility for the students to get a thorough practical training in the discipline of mass communication.

Establishment

The School of Journalism and Mass Communication was established in 1986 under the aegis of the University Grants Commission.  It has now been offered to a full time Bachelor's Course in Journalism and Mass Communication along with BA in Mass Communication, MA in Mass Communication, M Phil and Ph D. Programmes

Vision

The media is considered as the fourth pillar of democracy, it is the rapidly growing field in country. The School of Journalism and Mass Communication aims to prepare such students who can become renowned media people and can glorify name of the department.
